Revolt in Persia Empty Revolt in Persia

Far away from the snow-covered wintery plains of Europe and the Empire of the Greeks, lies the ancient realm of Persia, where the cold desert night burns red-hot with rage. The persians spirit, having long been under oppression by the Seljuq Turks from the north-eastern steppes, rises finally to the point of open rebellion. As the turkic armies move to reinforce themselves into a wall of iron near the Greek border, Persia is suddenly empty of soldiers, and the resentment can flow free like a throat released from a stranglehold.

In the cities of al-Basra, Nishapur, Ishafan and Shiraz, curved steel sabers are sharpened for war, as people arms themselves and unite under the flag of Ibrahim Zahir ud-Dalah, descendant of the the great Sultan Mahmud-e Ghaznavi, who has declared open rebellion against the Seljuq armies, who in their distance remain unable to prevent the rebellion from arising.
